Berkshire Youth is seeking an experienced, energetic, and visionary Youth Work Manager to lead an innovative and inclusive programme of youth work and outdoor education at the Waterside Youth and Community Centre. This unique role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, inspiring the next generation through meaningful experiences in and beyond the classroom.
Your Mission
You will lead and develop a dynamic youth programme grounded in the needs and voices of young people. From centre-based and outreach sessions to school-based activities, you’ll ensure inclusive, engaging opportunities for all. You'll also spearhead our outdoor learning offer—bringing fresh air, adventure, and personal growth to the heart of our work.
Your Responsibilities
* Design and implement youth programmes shaped by the aspirations and input of young people
* Manage and mentor youth workers and volunteers to deliver high-quality services
* Deliver centre-based, outreach, and school youth work that is inclusive and accessible
* Champion youth-led social action across all activities
* Serve as Designated Safeguarding Lead, upholding the highest standards of safety and care
* Deliver accredited outdoor learning activities linked to youth development and national curriculum aims
* Ensure Health & Safety across equipment and environments, including regular inspections
