About the Role
We’re looking for a Yard Banksman to join our team in Dundee. This role is essential to ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles around our busy site. You’ll be responsible for guiding drivers, supporting yard operations, and helping maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
* Directing HGVs, skip lorries and other vehicles safely within the yard
* Using clear hand signals and/or radios to communicate with drivers and machinery operators
* Managing vehicle movements in loading/unloading areas and across traffic routes
* Ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and traffic management systems
* Reporting any hazards, defects or unsafe practices to supervisors
* Assisting with general yard duties and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
What Are We Looking For?
* Previous experience as a banksman, traffic marshal or similar role (desirable)
* Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
* A reliable and proactive approach to work
* Flexibility to support wider yard and site operations as required
