Job Overview
The primary role of the Lead Business Analyst (Lead BA) is to ensure that business processes and supporting systems meet stakeholder needs. The Lead BA provides leadership on BA techniques, ensuring standards are defined and best practices adopted. This position acts as a liaison between technical IT teams and the business, facilitating communication on complex issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead innovative systems thinking to drive excellence
* Manage the BA practice, ensuring standards and continuous improvement
* Model and demonstrate how business processes support strategies and objectives
* Suggest process improvements and measure their impact
* Work within enterprise architecture guidelines
* Contribute to business process improvement methodologies
* Lead BA elements in project methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
* Develop and document business processes and system specifications
* Evaluate packaged solutions and support user documentation
Qualifications & Skills
* Formal qualifications in Business Analysis (desired)
* Project management certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, IIBA) (desired)
* Experience in complex projects (£1m+) in Agile and Waterfall environments
* Proficiency in Scrum, Kanban, and other methodologies
* Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
* Experience in insurance or similar complex sectors (preferred)
Salary & Benefits
£64,000 per annum, FTC for 18 months. Benefits include hybrid working, pension, life assurance, holiday scheme, employee assistance, and more.
