OVERVIEW
Our London Finance team is looking for an Accounts Receivable Analyst who will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Receivable and related finance activities for the continually growing CAA business. The role has a wide range of responsibilities and will require someone who can work accurately and to tight deadlines. Teamwork will be essential, and an inclusive attitude is required.
SUMMARY OF MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide required support to ensure smooth transition to the new ERP system – SAPData clean-up within current accounting system ahead of data migrationInvolvement in data migration processInvolvement in User acceptance testingReconciliations between systems
2. Assist in clean-up of the accounts receivable subledger, identifying duplicate and unused customers
3. Running effective credit control process to ensure that invoices are collected in line with agreed payment terms
4. Providing credit control reports to be reviewed by the Financial Controllers to highlight the volume and value of overdue invoices
5. Tracking cash collections from customers in line with the credit control policy, including requesting remittance advice for the allocation of cash receipts
6. Posting cash receipts to customer subledger accounts in the accounting system based on remittance advice
7. Proactively escalating aged accounts receivable balances to the Commercial teams and Business Affairs for additional support with cash collections
8. Assisting in calculation of the bad debt provision for aged receivable balances and customers with collectability issues in line with company policy for each month end close
9. Reconciling the aged accounts receivable report to the general ledger for each month end close
10. Active involvement in the completion of balance sheet reconciliations and AR analysis as part of the month end reporting process
11. Working collaboratively with other members of the finance team.
12. Assist the Financial Controllers with ad-hoc requests
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
13. Must have solid previous experience in credit control and accounts receivable
14. Strong understanding of a full revenue recognition process from order to cash collection
15. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
16. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential as the role involves dealing with both internal and external stakeholders
17. Ability to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills
18. Ability to be a team player with a conscientious and motivated attitude
19. Experience with foreign currencies will be useful
20. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
21. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 useful, but training will be given
22. An interest in sports and entertainment would be useful, but is not a requirement
