We are currently working with a highly regarded specialist law firm that is looking to appoint an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join its growing team in Bramhall, Stockport.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with solid employment law experience, or a commercially minded solicitor looking to specialise in employment law within a respected niche practice environment.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and close-knit team focused exclusively on employment law, handling a varied caseload for both employers and employees across contentious and non-contentious matters.
The Role
The position will involve managing a broad range of employment law matters, including advisory work, tribunal preparation, and client representation. You will work closely with a diverse client base, providing practical and commercially focused advice while delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a varied caseload of employment law matters independently from instruction through to resolution
* Providing strategic and commercially focused advice to employers, employees, and HR professionals
* Preparing Employment Tribunal matters from start to finish
* Handling client enquiries and converting prospective new business opportunities where appropriate
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Supporting the wider team within a growing specialist practice
* Ensuring compliance with SRA standards and maintaining high-quality service delivery
About You
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
* Ideally 5+ years PQE within employment law
* Strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage files autonomously
* Excellent communication and client care skills
* Commercially aware with a professional and proactive approach
* Comfortable working within a collaborative office-based environment
Desirable Experience
* Previous Employment Tribunal advocacy experience
* Existing client following or business development capability

* Salary between £50,000 £60,000 depending on experience
