We have a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join a strong and dynamic team as we continue our rapid expansion and aim to hit our ambitious targets over the next 2 years of month-on-month growth. You will help us to achieve our goals of having an industry leading European Roadfreight network spread across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
* Day to day operations support
* You will support our Senior Account Manager team with day-to-day operations.
* You will be speaking to customers, suppliers and colleagues throughout the UK and Europe, you will help facilitate smooth and frictionless transport of orders to, from and within the continent.
* Entering shipments on our in-house system, you will generate orders and instructions for our suppliers.
* Managing multiple tasks at the same time, you will enjoy a busy and fast-paced atmosphere.
* Customer Service
* We are all about our customers. You will need to understand their individual requirements and build strong and lasting relationships with them.
* Prompt responses and excellent service levels are expected here at Metro. You will strive to meet these expectations every day.
* You will input relevant information into our internal system and follow our procedures.
* Responsibility
* You will take ownership of your workload and enjoy managing tasks without constant guidance.

General Skills:
* Previous experience within European Roadfreight is preferred but not essential
* Ambition. We want an individual hungry for success.
* Demonstrable skills within a customer facing role would be an advantage.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent planning and attention to detail
* The ability to speak foreign (European) languages would be a benefit
* Ideally educated to A-Level standard, Degree level would be preferential.
