Wood is recruiting a Facilities Team Leader (FTL) on a core basis for Triton FPSO. This role mobilises from Aberdeen on a 2*3 rotation.
The Facilities Team Leader is responsible for providing leadership, direction, coordination, and management of fabric maintenance, construction, scaffolding, and vendor operations. Ensure engineering activities are delivered to a high standard, consistently and competently, in accordance with company requirements, standards, and procedures.
This role is pivotal in driving adherence to planning and work execution processes, fostering strong collaboration with onshore support teams, and maintaining alignment with corporate procedures.
The Facilities Team Leader must exemplify strong safety leadership by guaranteeing that all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in strict alignment with company policies and procedures.
The Facilities Team Leader requires extensive hands-on experience gained from a solid trade background, providing a practical understanding of field operations and construction methods. Beginning their career as a skilled tradesperson, they should have developed strong technical expertise in fabrication, welding, mechanical, E & I or structural disciplines before progressing into supervisory roles. This foundation allows the FTL to effectively bridge the gap between engineering design and site execution, ensuring that construction work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required specification.
Their trade experience enables them to lead by example, communicate clearly with multi-discipline crews, and anticipate potential challenges in offshore construction and services activities. With a deep respect for safety and quality standards, they combine technical know-how with proven leadership skills to deliver successful offshore activities sets, vendor related scopes and projects under demanding conditions.
Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets. We provide consulting, projects and operations solutions in 60 countries, employing around 35,000 people.
