Background
This is a newly created full-time role reporting to the Estate Manager based in the Estate Office of the Auch Estate, Bridge of Orchy. Some flexibility/hybrid working will be considered with a 40 hour week and occasional weekend working. Initially the focus will be on marketing of their current trail lodge, holiday cottages, stalking and fishing business, ensuring exceptional guest experience.
Auch Estate is a large and diverse rural Estate located in the heart of the southern highlands, the estate has recently undergone significant investment, upgrading all the hill fanks, construction of a modern farm, workshop machine store, new estate office, kennels and equipment store, and new energy efficient housing for our staff and visitors.
The Estate is diversifying its business operation from a historical traditional hill farm to a tourism & leisure business, including possible agritourism opportunities. The Estate has five holiday letting cottages and two eight double bedrooms trail cabins targeting the West Highland Way with an average 35,000 walkers passing through the Estate per year.
The Estate extends to 29,000 acres with 235 acres of commercial forestry and a run-of-river hydro scheme. The Estate is also now looking to promote their sporting entity including our salmon and sea trout fishing on the Estates beat with ten named pools.
Requirements
Previous experience in leisure hospitality and marketing, customer service, or a related field.
Proven business and marketing experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Advanced computer skills and knowledge of booking systems.
