We are looking to recruit a Practice Educator to support the nursing workforce across our medical CBU who will share our enthusiasm and dedication for promoting leadership and education within clinical teams.
The role will work within clinical areas to support nursing staff in developing their clinical and leadership skills through practical training sessions, in-the-moment teaching, working alongside, and offering pastoral support.
This is a 12-month fixed term / secondment post. If seeking a secondment, please ensure you have the approval of your line manager for release.
Main duties of the job
The Practice Educator role is designed to influence the quality of the clinical environment by providing support, educational input, and development activities for both registered and unregistered healthcare staff and students on pre-registration training programmes.
The role aims to enhance practice quality and contribute positively to the current and future healthcare workforce by providing department-specific education and training, and expanding the knowledge base of nursing staff within the department. The post holder will work in close cooperation with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
