Astutes Power Team are recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor for a new build Energy from Waste Power Station located in Cheshire. As a Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for all H&S activities on site ranging from inspections, audits, training, coordination, and reviewing / management of EHS documents.
This role sits within part of a wider HSE team, and you may be expected to support elsewhere within the business.

Responsibilities and duties of the Health and Safety Advisor role:
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Compliance, you will be responsible for:
* Developing and managing the safety programmes, procedures and safe systems of work including risk assessment / accident reporting system.
* Driving health and safety excellence through delivering the sites Health & Safety communications.
* Monitoring the performance of the plants health & safety program and identify opportunities to increase effectiveness.
* Liaising with external bodies.
* Carry out on site audits and investigations.
* Developing a strong H&S culture.
* Manage and update the sites H&S systems.
* Coordinate emergency response training.
* Providing H&S training for O&M staff.
