Deeside Dental Surgery – Connah’s Quay
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Dental Nurse to join our supportive team on a maternity cover basis. The role is for 4–5 days per week, starting in April, with the possibility of continuing in the practice after the maternity period, subject to circumstances.

About our practice
Deeside Dental Surgery is a family-run, fully private dental practice located approximately 5 miles from Chester city centre, with excellent transport links nearby. We provide general dentistry alongside a wide range of cosmetic treatments, including composite bonding and Invisalign. We also hold a very small NHS contract for children only.

Duties
7. Assisting the dentist during procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety
8. Preparing, cleaning, and sterilising dental instruments and equipment
9. Taking dental X-rays as directed
10. Providing chairside assistance, including suction and instrument transfer
11. Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
12. Updating medical histories
13. Booking appointments and taking patient payments
14. Managing stock levels and ordering dental supplies
15. Adhering to infection control and cross-infection protocols
Requirements
16. Qualified Dental Nurse with valid GDC registration
17. Caring, enthusiastic, and patient-focused approach
18. Strong communication and teamwork skills
19. Commitment to learning and professional development
20. Knowledge of dental sterilisation procedures and dental X-rays
