Job Description
To provide one-to-one support to an individual (adult or young person) to promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing by assisting them to access the community.

Roles and Responsibilities
Accompany the individual to local places such as cafes, shops, parks, cinemas, or events.
Support with attending social groups or community activities.
Help plan outings and provide transport or support with public transport (if needed).
Accompany and assist the individual at the gym or during physical activity sessions.
Encourage the individual to make their own choices and be involved in decisions.
Support confidence-building and social interaction in community settings.
Provide reassurance and emotional support when out and about.
Keeping the individual safe while outdoors (awareness of surroundings, traffic, crowds, etc.).
Friendly, encouraging, and supportive.
Respectful of the individual’s privacy, choices, and dignity.
Reliable and punctual.
Comfortable attending public places and fitness settings.
Patient and understanding of physical, learning, or mental health challenges.
