St Margaret’s Hospice Care has an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Volunteer Coordinator to join our Engagement Team. Salary: £25,507 – £28,157.57 per annum pro rata Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Working pattern: Part Time We can support part-time hours of 22.5 to 30 hours per week, which translates to 3 to 4 days a week. We understand the importance of flexibility, so we’re open to discussing various working hours and days that suit your schedule. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy hybrid working, with the option to work from home one day a week. Most of your hours will fall between Monday and Friday, though there may be occasional evening or weekend commitments to support our community fundraising events. You’ll be part of a supportive, friendly team in a charity driven by compassion, community, and care. What can you expect to be doing? As our Fundraising Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll play a key part in developing, supporting and celebrating our incredible community of fundraising volunteers. You’ll help people feel confident, informed, and inspired to raise awareness and funds for St Margaret’s Hospice Care. Your day to day role will include: Attracting, coordinating, and supporting fundraising volunteers across Somerset. Building strong relationships with volunteer groups, supporters and community partners. Working with our Community Partnerships and Events teams to help shape and deliver fundraising activities and campaigns. Being a friendly contact for volunteer fundraisers, offering guidance, encouragement and practical support. Keeping accurate records, communications, and volunteer information up to date. Representing St Margaret’s Hospice in the community at events, presentations, and engagement activities. Helping celebrate volunteer contributions through appreciation events and regular communication. Every interaction you have will help ensure volunteers feel valued and connected to the impact they’re making. What are we looking for? Someone who is: A people person – confident building relationships and motivating others. Highly organised, proactive and able to balance multiple priorities. A strong communicator who can inspire, support and encourage volunteers. Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Happy to travel across Somerset (full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required). Flexible with working hours when events take place in the evenings or at weekends. Passionate about our mission and committed to our values. It would be great (but not essential) if you also have: Experience coordinating or supporting volunteers. Experience in fundraising, community engagement, events or similar roles. Familiarity with volunteer management systems or fundraising databases. What can we offer you?
