You will ensure a world-class, consistent, and customer-focused maintenance service across our clients’ sites. Job Description As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will provide air conditioning, refrigeration, and general building maintenance services to client properties across the designated region. Your work will include fault finding, repair, maintenance, and installation of systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities * Deliver PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) and reactive works for AC, refrigeration, and HVAC systems in line with SLA and KPI targets, ensuring customer satisfaction and minimal downtime. * Inspect, repair, modify, and install refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including compressors, chillers, commercial and retail units, and control systems. * Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections, carrying out adjustments, repairs, and replacements as required. * Diagnose and repair faults in units and components such as thermostats, fan controls, compressors, valves, filters, and control systems. * Rebuild and overhaul semi-hermetic reciprocating and centrifugal compressors as needed. * Perform electrical maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including motor connections, wiring systems, and control panels. * Install, test, and calibrate systems, including copper tubing, insulation, and joints. * Undertake general building maintenance tasks as required, including mechanical, HVAC, and fabric-related works. * Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support when required. * Comply with all Health & Safety procedures, ensuring risk assessments and method statements are followed at all times. Qualifications and Competencies Essential: * City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants (or CITB J11 equivalent). * NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds qualification in one of the following disciplines: * Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems * Heating and Ventilation * Heating and Ventilation Service & Maintenance * Full UK Driving Licence. Experience * Demonstrable experience in air conditioning, refrigeration, or HVAC maintenance, including fault diagnosis, repair, and installation. * Proven experience in PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial or facilities management environments. * Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements. * Experience providing high-quality service within a customer-facing role in the FM or building services sector
