Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer, ideally with a background in the water sector, to join our client's dynamic team in the North West. This exciting opportunity arises from continued growth and significant work-winning success throughout 2024. You'll be working closely with project managers, construction managers, and other key stakeholders, playing a crucial role in securing and delivering vital infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare tenders for clients and develop commercial bids to drive new business acquisition.
* Develop and present comprehensive project proposals.
* Meet with clients to ascertain and refine their requirements.
* Produce detailed project plans and estimate associated budgets and timescales.
* Discuss, draft, review, and negotiate the terms of business contracts.
* Agree on budgets and timescales effectively with clients.
* Manage construction schedules and budgets diligently.
* Proactively address and resolve any unexpected costs that may arise.
* Attend site meetings to monitor project progress and ensure alignment.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, site managers, and project managers.
* Collaborate with third parties to ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.
* Ensure all construction projects meet agreed technical standards rigorously.
* Liaise effectively with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams, and client representatives.
* Oversee final accounts at the culmination of each project.
* Work effectively in both on-site and office environments as required.
Requirements
* Degree or HND qualified in Construction or Project Management. Equivalent substantial work experience will also be considered.
* Working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 / FIDIC contracts is highly desirable.
* A strong understanding of the construction industry.
* Proficiency in understanding legal documentation.
* Solid Maths and IT knowledge.
* Exceptional leadership skills.
* Proven business management skills.
* Demonstrated ability to use initiative effectively.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
