Would you be interested in supporting the delivery of T-Levels for Engineering & Manufacturing Core papers? We are seeking experienced and competent Examiners to join the marking pool and support us in delivering the T Level Technical Qualification in Engineering and Manufacturing (Core); details of which can be found on the 8730 qualification webpage.

This is an Associate role, which is remote and required during our Autumn and Summer assessment series. As an Associate, the role gives you the opportunity to work alongside your current job, to build additional income with competitive daily rates, and to continue to develop your own skills.

As an Examiner you’ll be expected to carry out timely marking, by applying accurate and consistent marks on candidate evidence, in line with the agreed application of the marking grid and tolerances set at standardisation and feedback from Senior Examiner sampling.


Responsibilities

The Role Profile defines the responsibilities and expectations of the Examiner role. You will be marking on Core Paper 1 or Core Paper 2 which are common across all three Engineering and Manufacturing Technical Qualification pathways:

* Design and Development
* Maintenance, Installation and Repair
* Manufacturing, Processing and Control


Core Paper 1

We are looking for individuals with qualifications and experience in:

* Science and mathematics for engineering
* Teaching mathematics at Level 4 and above
* Science for engineering and manufacturing
* Engineering and manufacturing materials
* Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic and/ or Mechatronic principles


Core Paper 2 - Engineering In Context

We are looking for individuals with qualifications and experience in:

* Engineering and manufacturing sector
* Engineering and manufacturing control systems and quality management
* Health and safety principles and practice
* Business, commercial and financial awareness within an engineering setting


Key Timelines

Examiners must be available for the below schedule to be considered for the Summer 2026 marking series.


Core Paper 1

* Remote Marker Training (half day): 22 May 2026 or 29 May 2026
* Remote Standardisation: 11 June 2026
* Marking window: 11 June 2026 to 3 July 2026


Core Paper 2

* Remote Marker Training (half day): 22 May 2026 or 29 May 2026
* Remote Standardisation: 17 June 2026
* Marking window: 17 June 2026 to 3 July 2026
