Overview
Locum Education Lawyer — London Local Authority — 3 month+ locum contract — £45 - £55 per hour (depending on experience)
Responsibilities
* Join the London Council on an initial 3-month locum contract, with likelihood of long-term extension on a rolling basis. Office attendance is usually required once per fortnight (negotiable). Tribunal attendance is required as and when it arises.
* Manage a caseload of SEN cases, provide advice on education law, and work on SEND tribunals.
* Familiarity with related guidance is preferable.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified and hold a current practicing certificate (Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx).
* Experience managing SEN cases and working on SEND tribunals.
* Experience with associated guidance is preferable.
Contract and start details
This will be a great opportunity for a determined Education Lawyer to capitalise on their expertise, work independently, and take on a varied and interesting caseload. Our client is seeking to fill this locum Education Lawyer role as soon as possible, so applicants will ideally be able to start immediately or within a few weeks' notice.
