Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. This on-site role is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, overseeing tax compliance, and providing financial analysis to support client decision-making. The Senior Accountant will also mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements across the organization.
Qualifications
Proficiency in financial accounting, budgeting, and financial statement preparation
Strong understanding of tax compliance, auditing, and regulatory requirements
Experience with financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting
Expertise in accounting software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions
Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification preferred)
Experience working in an accountancy firm or for a range of business clients is highly desirable
