£400/500 Per day LTD
We are currently seeking a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a range of construction and infrastructure projects across Kent. This is a flexible, freelance opportunity ideal for an experienced QS looking to take ownership of multiple projects and deliver high-quality commercial support from tender through to final account.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full commercial responsibility from tender handover to final account
Monitor cost efficiency across operational teams
Cashflow and sales forecasting to support financial planning
Submit monthly payment applications and manage valuation cycles
Produce regular cost/value reports
Assess and raise sub-contract certificates
Budget management, including procurement of subcontractors and contract preparation
Review and negotiate contract/sub-contract T&Cs, particularly NEC3/4 contracts
Attend internal and external meetings with key stakeholders
Promote safe working practices within the commercial team
Liaise with internal departments and assist with other duties as requiredCandidate Requirements:
Degree qualified in a relevant Cost/Commercial discipline
Minimum 2 years' experience working across Water / Wastewater Projects
Strong understanding of NEC3/4 contract administration
Proven ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills, with confidence in presenting reports to internal and external stakeholders
