An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Assistant to join the Reviewing Team based at County Hall in Beverley on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Reviewing Team is responsible for carrying out reviews for people supported with packages of care across the East Riding. The Technical Assistant plays a key role in this process by undertaking electronic allocations of reviews and supporting the team with accurate data management.

You will liaise with a wide range of internal staff and professionals, so a professional telephone manner and empathy are essential. The role also involves contributing to a robust governance and reporting system and carrying out associated IT tasks, including managing review correspondence and supporting the production of statistical reports.

Working closely with the Leadership Team you will help deliver efficient and effective performance monitoring, including liaising with operational staff about data and recording issues.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate an aptitude for information-related work and have a strong eye for detail. You should be confident in using spreadsheets, with advanced Excel skills including formulas such as XLOOKUP, and proficient in Microsoft SharePoint for document management and collaboration. Ideally, you will have experience using large corporate IT databases such as client record systems. You will also need to become familiar with the systems we currently use, such as Azeus, and develop an understanding of adult social care. A common-sense approach and adaptability to changing environments are essential.

The successful applicant will support the team in maintaining accurate data quality within the client record system, assist colleagues with IT equipment and system integration, and help implement and coordinate performance changes. You will attend meetings related to performance and recording systems and share best practices with the team and wider service.

You will be an excellent team player, able to organise your workload effectively, work to deadlines, and support colleagues in achieving performance outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and knowledge in a friendly, supportive, and challenging environment. Regular supervision and a full induction will be provided.

This may be considered as a secondment opportunity, written approval of the secondment from your current management would be required prior to interview.

For further information, please contact Natalie Mudd, Senior Social Worker, on 01482 396940 for an informal discussion.

The Council offers many remote working opportunities as part of our commitment to providing flexibility wherever possible for our employees.
