About The Role
Role Details: HR Business Partner. Altrad are currently on the lookout for a HR Business Partner to join the business to partner with senior leaders and line managers to deliver people strategies that support operational excellence, safety, and long-term workforce sustainability. This role can be based anywhere within the Midlands area.
Key Deliverables
Strategic HR Partnership
* Partner with senior leaders and line managers to deliver people strategies that support operational excellence, safety, and long-term workforce sustainability.
* Translate business objectives into effective HR initiatives aligned with nuclear industry standards.
Employee Relations & Performance
* Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring consistency, fairness, and legal compliance.
* Support managers with performance management, disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and absence management.
* Promote a positive employee relations climate, including engagement with trade unions or employee representatives where applicable.
Safety, Compliance & Culture
* Actively support and reinforce a strong nuclear safety culture and behavioural standards.
* Ensure HR policies and practices comply with nuclear regulatory requirements, site licence conditions, and relevant legislation.
* Contribute to audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews as required.
Talent & Capability
* Support recruitment and onboarding of critical roles, including safety-critical and scarce-skill positions.
* Contribute to learning, development, and competency frameworks, particularly those linked to regulatory or licence requirements.
* Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organisation.
Change & Transformation
* Lead and support people aspects of change initiatives, restructures, and organisational transformation projects.
* Manage consultation processes and change communications in line with legal and regulatory expectations.
Data & Continuous Improvement
* Use HR data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of HR policies, processes, and ways of working.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience within HRBP, 3 years at minimum.
* Experience in TUPE, general ER case management and familiar with unionised environment.
* Experience working in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment (e.g. nuclear, energy, engineering, aerospace, defence).
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations.
* CIPD qualified to minimum level 5.
* Need to travel UK wide- flexible to base location.
* Strong understanding of organisational culture and change management.
* Excellent communication, judgement, and problem-solving skills.
