Support Worker Needed – Compassionate Care for Adult with Complex Emotional Needs

Salary: £12.50/hour paid 24 hours day or night
Hours: Full-time or part-time (flexible shifts available)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and resilient Support Worker to provide one-to-one care for an adult with complex learning difficulties & emotional and mental health needs. This is a deeply rewarding role for someone who thrives on building trust, offering stability, and making a genuine difference in someone’s life.
You’ll be supporting a person who may experience emotional dysregulation, anxiety, and challenges with daily living. Your role will be to provide consistent emotional support, help with routines, and encourage independence while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Build a trusting and therapeutic relationship with the individual
• Support with emotional regulation and coping strategies
• Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care
• Encourage participation in community activities and hobbies
• Work collaboratively with mental health professionals and family members
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning
Who We’re Looking For
• Experience in learning disabilities
• Calm, patient, and emotionally intelligent
• Able to manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs

• DBS check required (Funded by us)
Desirable Qualifications
• 3 Years with challenging behaviour (or learning disabilities)
• Training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation techniques, or safeguarding
