Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary: Grade 4 / SCP 6 - 7 (£25,989 - £26,403 FTE). Pro rata salary £22,453.72 - £22,811.41 dependent on years of service.
Hours: 32.5 per week, Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, term time only (38 pupil weeks, plus 5 days when students are not in school).
Contract type: Permanent
Start Date: 01.09.2026
Location: Queen’s Croft, a secondary special school for students aged 11‑19 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
Responsibilities
To work collaboratively as part of the whole school team in supporting the teaching and learning of pupils within the school.
To positively role model skills and behaviours, upholding the vision and values of the school.
To work under the direction, instruction and supervision of the responsible teacher either in the classroom or in the wider school community, working with groups or individual pupils to assist in providing care, safety and welfare of pupils.
