Job Title: Senior Lawyer - Adult Social Care
Location: Sheffield City Centre (with predominantly home-working)
Salary: £52,500 to £56,500
Contract: Full Time, Permanent (part-time considered)
Role Overview & Daily Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary group of lawyers and legal officers, ensuring strong performance and professional development.
* Oversee and take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality, consistent legal advice and representation in adult social care matters.
* Personally manage and conduct some of the most sensitive and complex cases, often with a high public profile.
* Champion innovation and service improvement, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and value.
* Support recruitment, training, and mentoring to build a skilled, motivated, and resilient team.
* Represent the authority with confidence in court proceedings as well as at panels, boards, and committees.
* Work collaboratively with senior colleagues across the legal service to provide a joined-up, cost-effective legal offer.
