CAS Network Engineer
Location: Bracknell
Your role will involve remotely managing a geographically diverse IPS/IDS, SSL decryption and FPC solution as part of an established team. A large part of the role will be resolving faults that are escalated by our 2nd line engineers. There is also a requirement to implement service changes to the production environment. Additional responsibilities include, providing continuity between an established 3rd Line Team and the 24/7 support team, producing how to guides and liaising with other dependant parties.
Responsibilities
* Remotely manage a geographically diverse IPS/IDS, SSL decryption and FPC solution as part of an established team.
* Resolve faults escalated by 2nd line engineers.
* Implement service changes to the production environment.
* Provide continuity between the 3rd Line Team and the 24/7 support team.
* Produce how-to guides and liaise with other dependant parties.
Your transferable skills and experience
* A proven track record as a Network engineer in an operational environment.
* A good breadth of technical skills across an enterprise environment, ideally demonstrating skills in Cisco Firepower configuration, management of F5 devices and configuring multiple traffic flows through a single device.
* Self-motivation with the ability to identify improvements for process and best practice, and a drive for continuous improvement.
* Ability to work well within a team and develop positive working relationships with other resolver teams throughout the organisation.
* Clear communications when interacting with peers, management, other resolver teams, and customers.
* Excellent attention to detail.
