Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Mainstream School – Bournemouth

We are currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream school in the Bournemouth area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic, patient and committed to supporting pupils both academically and emotionally within the classroom environment.
The school has a strong focus on inclusion and provides additional support for pupils with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and moderate learning difficulties. You will work closely with teaching staff to help create a positive and engaging learning experience for all students.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assist students in accessing classroom learning and activities
* Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour
* Support pupils with additional learning or emotional needs
* Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff
* Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
What We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who:
* Have previous experience working with children or young people
* Have SEN, SEMH, care, youth work or school-based experience
* Are patient, adaptable and proactive
* Have strong communication and teamwork skills
* Are reliable and committed to supporting students consistently
* Are passionate about education and pupil development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
