The Formal Section plays host to an interesting and varied permanent plant collection, as well as being the showcase for seasonally changing annual displays.There are lots of opportunities to indulge creativity as we continue to develop this important part of the gardens. You will work as part of an immediate team of three, whilst joining the rest of the gardens team to pitch in with bigger seasonal and renovation tasks.You'll be helping to keep the garden in tiptop condition every day. This might involve daily checks to make sure all areas are safe for people visiting, routine tasks such as weeding, pruning and mulching, and using machinery such as hedge cutters, leaf blowers, lawnmowers and tractors. Other duties might include working in ponds, cutting flowers for the house, assisting with tree safety work and garden design and restoration.
