Experienced Baker Wanted ( to start Immediately)
We are looking for a experienced artisan baker to join our small, dedicated team
We are a expanding business based in the ancient hill side town of Malmesbury.
_ We have a well-established 17th century shop on the high street, where we also bake. The shop is always the focus of everything that we do in the bakery. _
You will be working directly alongside the Head baker/owner
Salary
4 days per week, 38-45 hours
At least 2 of your 3 days off every week will be grouped together
Shifts typically run from 00:00 - 10:00
Key skills required from the experienced baker -
· At least 4 years' experience in baking
· A strong knowledge of sourdough, confectionery, fermentation, yeasted breads and pastry
· A person who is honest and a pleasure to work with
· Someone who has an extremely positive can do attitude
· A quick worker, who can also work independently and effectively
· Skills in the manufacturing of pastry would also be an advantage
· We need someone who is always reliable.
· Someone who can bring new ideas to the bakery
What You'll Be Doing:
Produce high-quality, handcrafted bread and pastries using traditional methods.
_ Mix, shape, proof, and bake dough to achieve excellent flavour and appearance._
Maintain quality standards and meet production deadlines.
_ Keep the bakery clean, safe, and organised, following all hygiene regulations._
Manage ingredients, stock rotation, and inventory.
_ Work closely with the team to meet targets and improve processes._
Troubleshoot production or equipment issues
