Senior Travel Consultant – Nottingham
Established independent travel agent with a team of home‑based consultants is opening its second branch in a beautiful village north‑east of Nottingham. The new agency focuses on luxury travel and tailor‑made itineraries and is looking for an experienced Travel Advisor or Assistant/Branch Manager to help launch and grow the branch.
Responsibilities
* Develop a new customer base and create a retention strategy, including gathering customer feedback via Trustpilot.
* Plan and host in‑store events and manage day‑to‑day branch operations (staff, sales, admin, customer service).
* Lead branch profitability by maximising sales and conversion.
* Develop and implement sales strategies, including social media and local partnership opportunities.
* Train and mentor staff, ensuring a high level of product and service knowledge.
* Analyse sales reports to identify trends and growth opportunities.
* Maintain supplier relationships and create special promotions.
* Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
* Stay up‑to‑date on industry trends and ensure the branch offers the most competitive products and services.
* Collaborate with senior leadership on company‑wide initiatives and goals.
Salary & Benefits
* Competitive starting salary up to £27,000 per annum (DOE).

Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in retail travel as a Travel Consultant, Assistant Manager or Manager.
* Proven sales record and excellent customer service skills.
* Strong passion for travel and people with initiative to establish and grow a new branch.
* Full rights to work in the UK.
