We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically astute Section Engineer to join our progressive wastewater construction team. You'll play a key role in bridging the gap between design and construction, providing valuable engineering support across the project while ensuring technical compliance to design specifications. What will you be responsible for? As a Section Engineer, you'll be working within the construction team, supporting them in delivering projects safely, on time, and to high quality standards. Your day to day will include:
Responsibilities
* Interpreting design documentation and ensuring works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications
* Managing site setting out and surveying activities, resolving design conflicts to minimise delays
* Coordinating temporary works designs and approvals in line with site requirements and programme
* Supporting construction teams with technical queries and driving value engineering initiatives
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards, quality procedures, and health and safety requirements
Qualifications
* You have an HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or equivalent experience)
* You can confidently read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
* You have practical experience working on infrastructure or wastewater construction projects
* You're collaborative with excellent communication skills and enjoy building relationships
* You're detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge
