For trainees covered by Annex 21, where the training period lasts between one and four years, pay will be as follows:
1. Up to 12 months before completing training: 75% of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.
2. More than one but less than two years before completion: 70% of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate.
3. More than two but less than three years before completion: 65% of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate.
4. More than three years from completion: 60% of the pay band maximum of the fully qualified rate.

Band 3 Radiographic Departmental Assistants – 37 hours

We are seeking motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious candidates to join our radiology team as Radiographic Departmental Assistants across NHS Lothian. These positions offer an excellent opportunity to support Sonographers in our Ultrasound departments at Western General Hospital, St John’s Hospital, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and the Department of Clinical Neurology.
These roles support service expansion across all sites and provide a valuable chance for candidates to broaden their experience.
The successful applicants will be expected to participate in cross-site working, On-Call / 5/7 rosters, and provide cover for evening and weekend shifts.
Applicants must have previous NHS experience.
