Were looking for a proactive and dependable Workshop Operative to join our depot team. This is a hands-on, fast-paced support role at the heart of our operation, working across logistics, transport, engineering and customer service to ensure equipment is prepared, moved and delivered safely and efficiently. This position plays a vital role in keeping our depot running smoothly and delivering an excellent customer experience. Its also an ideal opportunity for someone keen to develop broad operational knowledge and progress into a specialist or technical pathway within Speedy. About the Role Working across all areas of the depot, you will: Support deliveries and collections of hire equipment Assist with vehicle loading and unloading Maintain stock control and accurate equipment tracking using digital systems Prepare, check and move equipment safely within the depot Work closely with logistics, transport, engineering and customer service teams Maintain excellent housekeeping and safety standards Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment Support your team in delivering our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver What Youll Need Full UK driving licence Basic IT skills (training provided on internal systems and technology platforms) Strong verbal and written communication skills Adaptability and willingness to support different teams Commitment to learning and personal development Willingness to complete a forklift qualification Ability to work independently and as part of a small team Strong attention to safety and housekeeping standards About You Youll thrive in this role if you are: Practical and hands-on Reliable and safety-focused A strong team player with a positive attitude Organised and able to prioritise tasks Keen to build your career within operations or engineering Training & Development At Speedy, we invest in our people.
