As Restaurant & Bars Supervisor at The Holiday Inn Blackpool, you will oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient service that delights our guests. You will lead by example, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining high operational standards. This hands-on role involves working closely with the team and directly contributing to the success of our dining experience and overall profitability across outlets, including breakfast at Holiday Inn, room service delivery, conference events, Platform 9, and Marco’s New York Italian.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE RESTAURANT & BARS SUPERVISOR AT THE HOLIDAY INN BLACKPOOL
* Lead and motivate the food & beverage team to deliver excellent, personalized guest service
* Support the Restaurant & Bars Manager in conducting regular team performance reviews
* Create a welcoming environment in all outlets, fostering a culture of great service
* Assist in taking food and drink orders, ensuring accuracy and prompt delivery
* Handle guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, resolving concerns to ensure satisfaction
* Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements as needed
* Supervise daily cash transactions, ensuring all payments are processed correctly
* Maintain and balance the departmental cash float throughout the shift
* Ensure correct billing and receipts are provided, addressing discrepancies or complaints
* Ensure adherence to brand standards and contribute to the success of Marco Pierre White brand
* Conduct duty management responsibilities and act as hotel ambassador, understanding hotel and brand standards
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
* Previous experience in a supervisory or senior service role in a similar environment
* Ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse team
* Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
* Excellent customer service skills with a proactive problem-solving approach
* Ability to handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolutions
* Thorough understanding of health & safety regulations and food safety standards
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed by the business
