About the Role
As Head of Service at HC‑One, you’ll value kindness above all. Your role spans Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist Care homes, ensuring residents receive nutritious, healthy meals and professional care with a focus on cleanliness, food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve meals that residents will love. Assist in baking cakes for morning tea trolley and lunch desserts. Maintain food supplies, monitor fridge/freezer temperatures, train new staff on equipment usage, and keep the kitchen area spotless.
Apply and uphold standards of the Food Safety Act 1990, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR and COSHH regulations. Keep accurate records and follow recipes meticulously.
Requirements
Experience in a kitchen environment and awareness of food safety and health & safety regulations. Strong record‑keeping, organisational skills and the ability to follow recipes are essential. Excellent communication and sincere, kind interaction with residents and colleagues are required.
