Connect Appointments is recruiting a Forklift Driver to join our East Kilbride-based manufacturing client on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
Our client is an established manufacturer offering a supportive working environment that places its people first.
What's on offer?
* Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (early finish on Fridays)
* 13.33 per hour, increasing to 13.99 after probation (around 12 weeks)
* Paid weekly
* Immediate starts available
As a Forklift Driver, your duties will include:
* Manoeuvring forklifts safely in a busy industrial environment
* Stacking, moving and relocating goods to designated storage and loading areas
* Unloading deliveries and consolidating partial pallets
* Keeping forklift operating areas clear of spills and obstructions
* Carrying out regular equipment checks and reporting any faults
The ideal Forklift Driver will have:
* A valid Counterbalance licence
* Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
* Good spatial awareness and attention to detail
* A solid understanding of warehouse health and safety requirements
* The ability to work well as part of a team
