We are recruiting on behalf of a housing association for experienced Mental Health Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for a client currently experiencing an acute mental health crisis. The client has a clear preference for female support, and the successful candidate will have a solid background in mental health support, particularly in crisis management. This is a vital role to offer compassionate, calming, and consistent support to the client during this challenging period. Key Responsibilities of a Mental Health Support Worker: Provide calm, compassionate, and consistent 1:1 support for a client with acute mental health needs. Manage risk and escalate concerns appropriately to ensure the client's safety and well-being. Work independently, following support plans and safeguarding procedures. Provide life skills activities to support the client's recovery and coping strategies. Administer medication (PRN) when required, following relevant training and guidelines. Maintain accurate records of support provided, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to safeguarding protocols.
