We are seeking a dedicated and well-qualified Science Teacher to join an outstanding department committed to delivering engaging and challenging science education to all learners. You will teach across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to focus on your specialism at KS4 and KS5 for experienced applicants.
The department is well-staffed with subject specialists and supported by a strong network of technicians. The school’s recently refurbished science block includes eight state-of-the-art laboratories, a central preparation room, and designated areas for practical assessment and STEM enrichment.
Extracurricular science is a cornerstone of the school’s approach, and the successful candidate will be encouraged to take part in science clubs, outreach work, and national competitions such as the CREST Awards and Big Bang Fair.
Experience and Qualifications
• A Science degree and formal teaching qualification (QTS essential)
• Strong knowledge of National Curriculum and recent changes at GCSE and A-Level
• Specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics welcomed
• Enthusiasm for practical and enquiry-based teaching methods
• Right to work in the UK
