Conveyancing AssistantLocation: BathSalary: £27,000 - £30,000Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pmWork Model: Hybrid (3 days from home, 2 days in the office)We are currently seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join a well-established law firm based in Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and successful Residential Property team.The RoleYou will support the Residential Property team and work closely with fee earners to ensure a smooth progression of residential conveyancing transactions. Occasional travel to other office locations or off-site meetings may be required based on client needs.Main DutiesClient and Document ManagementLiaising with clients via telephone and email.Drafting routine letters to clients without dictation.Checking property information forms and ensuring the use of current versions.Preparing initial reports on title and enquiries.File Preparation & ComplianceFile opening with Risk and Compliance, ensuring all details are accurately completed.Setting up files with appropriate folders and subfolders.Maintaining a central file management record for all fee earners' files.Managing central compliance records, including:CQS complianceSource of funds verificationTransactional SupportDrafting contracts.Preparing completion statements and apportionments.Preparing SDLT returns and understanding associated deadlines.Preparing files for registration and managing Land Registry documentation.Coordinating exchange and completion tasks, including payment forms, letters, and filing SDLT returns.Calendar & Deadline ManagementMaintaining a centralised calendar to track:Skills RequiredEssential:Previous experience in a conveyancing assistant or similar legal support role.Good understanding of the conveyancing process, including compliance and transaction stages.Strong financial awareness related to property transactions.Excellent communication and organisational skills.High attention to detail and the ability to manage workload independently.Confident using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.Ability to hit the ground running and support more straightforward transactions with minimal supervision.BenefitsProfit Share SchemeCycle to Work SchemeEmployee Benefits PlatformPrivate Medical InsuranceLife Assurance (4x salary)Company Pension Scheme28 Days Annual Leave (plus statutory UK holidays)1 CSR Day Annually for Community ActivitiesIf you're ready to take the next step in your conveyancing career, click APPLY to be considered for this exciting opportunity.
