Service Delivery Manager – 6 Month Contract – Hybrid – Midlands VIQU have partnered with an organisation based in the Midlands, who are seeing a Service Delivery Manager to ensure service continuity during a period of transition and change. The successful Service Delivery Manager will support ongoing process alignment, manage an IT team as well as 3rd party vendors, and be responsible for service performance. Key responsibilities: Lead and manage a small IT service team. Act as the accountable lead for BAU IT service delivery, ensuring services remain stable, effective, and meet business needs. Participate in and lead service reviews, monitoring performance and ensuring incidents, problems, and requests are managed in line with SLAs. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of service performance, risks, and improvement initiatives. Collaborate closely with third-party vendors to ensure contractual obligations and service quality standards are met and maintained. Provide regular reporting and updates on team performance, service stability, and project transition activities to senior management. Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and actively drive continuous service improvement. Key skills & experience: Proven track record of managing IT service teams in a complex environment. Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks, with ITIL certification highly desirable. Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors and holding them accountable to service levels. Skilled in incident, problem, change, and request management. Previous exposure to process-driven, highly regulated environments (public sector experience advantageous). Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage across business and technical teams. Comfortable working in periods of organisational change, with adaptability and resilience. Detail-oriented, organised, and accountable for measurable service outcomes.
