Overview
Ground School Instructor-EN role at CAE. Based out of Burgess Hill (West Sussex) Training Centre. Full-time openings for Ground School Instructors. We will build upon your existing experience as an aviation professional and transform you into a world-class Ground School and subject matter expert, ready to lead clients through their training – with the added benefit of spending less time away from home.
You will work alongside our client partners, providing expert Ground School instruction and be responsible for maintaining accurate and concise trainee records.
Responsibilities
* Deliver instruction during the ground training phase of initial and recurrent courses using VSIM.
* Deliver instruction on IPT during initial ground school.
* Ensure client comprehension of aircraft systems knowledge by delivering aircraft systems review lectures.
* Assist with courseware development for training programmes when required.
* Keep training material up to date, accurate and responsive to client needs when required.
* Assist with crewing in the simulator when there are odd numbers of clients on the course.
* Any other duties as may be required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Excellent classroom, presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Above average communication skills, both written and oral.
* Computer skills, in particular knowledge of PowerPoint.
* Prior knowledge of aircraft systems either as a professional engineer or pilot would be an advantage.
* Work follows established procedures but the ability to adapt and innovate may be required.
* Strong focus on quality with a continuous drive towards process improvement & customer satisfaction.
* Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Readily accepts changes and adjusts accordingly.
* Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under adverse circumstances.
* Respond to client questions in a positive and helpful manner by researching and delivering clear answers.
* Ability to assess client’s aircraft systems knowledge and determine if they have gained sufficient knowledge to pass the final exam.
* Significant client contact with regular internal communication at all levels of CAE.
Special Features
* Ability to work flexible hours including public holidays and weekends.
* Some domestic and overseas travel may be required.
