A welcoming two-form entry primary school in Slough is seeking a dedicated class based Teaching Assistant to join their supportive staff team. While they would prefer someone who can start right away, they are willing to wait until September for the right candidate. As a class room Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to enhance learning experiences across KS1 and KS2. You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging lessons and providing targeted support to pupils, especially those with additional learning needs. Responsibilities: Offer hands-on assistance to both the teacher and students during lessons. Contribute to the delivery of personalised learning activities and small group interventions. Support pupils with special educational needs and help foster an inclusive classroom environment. Assist in maintaining positive behaviour and smooth daily routines within the class. Help organise and set up teaching resources and materials. Share observations and updates with teachers and, when appropriate, with parents. Requirements: ✅ Prior experience in a primary school environment is desirable. Ability to remain calm, patient, and flexible in a dynamic classroom setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning and development. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or readiness to obtain one.
