Job summary We arecurrently recruiting a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker, 23 hours a week on afixed term contract for 10 months to cover maternity leave, to be part of our Stroke& General Rehab Inpatient Unit at Evesham Community Hospital. The candidatewill work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to achieve specificrehabilitation goals. This will be a challenging and exciting opportunity andwill enable the individual to develop new and existing skills. Main duties of the job Assist with admitting patients to the ward and the careof their relatives Undertake clinical procedures following assessment ofcompetencies by qualified senior members of staff Carry out delegated nursing care Provide safe and effective care Assist patients with attending to the activities of dailyliving and support the therapy team with the rehabilitation of the patient. Assist patients to sit up or out forbreakfast. Serve and prepare meals/breakfast anddrinks, help to assist patients when required. Complete appropriate paperworki.e food diaries and fluid balance charts. Assist patients with morning personalcare and dressing. Mobilise patients using correctmobility equipment when required/liaise with physiotherapy team. Liaise with nursing staff for information regarding Observations,catheters, lab samples, blood sugar monitoring, dressings and further healthchecks. Carry out patient weekly assessmentswhich involve weighing, clean and check mattress, catheter bag change whenrequired. Stores to be restocked daily. Assist patients with toileting.
