This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management worker to join our team here in Cumbria. As our Housing and Property expert, you'll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you'll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts. Also support customer engagement and social activities, as we know the key to staying well and healthy is not being lonely and staying as active as possible. Having a purpose.
Typical day as a Housing Management Worker
* Older people service over 55s and younger people with learning disabilities
* Making sure that our customers' properties are homes they can be proud of, you'll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies and community.
* Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
* Keep our properties fully occupied and the rent accounts up to date.
* Carry out and record routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities to ensure compliance.
* Manage admin tasks such as updating records, ordering, and arranging payments for works to be done.

You bring
* Be a people person, with a background in property management, but that's not a deal breaker! Perhaps you've worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?
* A can-do positive attitude, proactive, well-organized, and able to work on your initiative.
* A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
* The ability to work independently, positively influencing people from diverse backgrounds.
* Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners.
* Passion for property and pride in ensuring properties are the best they can be for our customers!

Job details
* Flexible working hours or a work pattern that suits you
* 7.50 hours a day, Monday to Friday
* Based at our service in Wigton, spending time with customers or in the accessible office
* Proficient in using technology for creating and updating Health and Safety records, making benefit claims, and tenancy sign-ups
* Occasional cover for other schemes or attendance at team meetings; a vehicle insured for business purposes is required. Mileage will be reimbursed.
* An Enhanced DBS check is required, which we will pay for.
