Responsibilities
* Clinical Assistance: Assisting dentists with urgent procedures, preparing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort.
* Practice Management: Maintaining dental equipment and ensuring adherence to protocols and policies.
* Sterilization and Infection Control: Overseeing and lead on sterilization and decontamination processes to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
* Administrative & Reception Duties: Handling patient records, patient account management and other administrative tasks.
* Compliance: Supporting the service manager in maintaining compliance with CQC standards, surgery and emergency drug and equipment checks.
* Patient Care: Reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing their concerns.
* Professional Development: Ensure CPD is up to date and in line with company training matrix.
* Communication: Effectively communicating with the dental team, patients, and other staff.
* Stock Control: Managing inventory of dental supplies, materials and stock takes.
Overview
Being a Qualified Dental Nurse in the Rodericks Dental Partners family, you will play a key role looking after every patient and supporting your dentist. Understand the importance of teamwork within the surgery and how to work effectively to support the dentists. Possess excellent organisational and influencing skills, using these to ensure that the practice delivers effective care. Understand Private and NHS dentistry—supporting offering treatment options to patients and how you can best drive surgery efficiency and help the practice performance goals.
Sharing your knowledge and being a role‑model to any Trainee/Apprentice Nurses within your practice, buddying them through their initial induction and acting as an extra support as they learn. Demonstrating your full understanding of GDC and other regulatory responsibilities. Embrace the importance of your own CPD and ongoing professional development.
To be considered for this role, you must have a relevant live or pending GDC registration.
