An excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a business based in Skelmersdale, where you will be a key member of the management team. Reporting directly into the Managing Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including treasury operations, financial reporting, and team leadership.
* Oversee all day-to-day financial operations and accounting processes.
* Manage and optimise the company’s treasury function, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity management.
* Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to the Managing Director and board.
* Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and year-end statutory accounts.
* Support strategic decision-making with robust financial analysis and insight.
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
* Drive process improvements and system enhancements across the finance function.
* Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders as required.
Financial Controller Experience Required
* Strong knowledge of treasury management and financial controls.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
* Confident team leader with a track record of mentoring and developing finance staff.
* Hands-on approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
