Overview:
A Flow Assurance Engineer is required to support major international oil and gas projects, providing technical leadership within the Flow Assurance discipline. The role is based within a project engineering team in the UK and supports activities across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept development through to Basic Design/FEED, detailed engineering, execution, and handover to operations.
The role may also involve supporting carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) projects, including the assessment and definition of CO₂ transportation systems, evaluation of operating envelopes, and contribution to studies addressing flow assurance challenges specific to CO₂ transport and thermohydraulic behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare technical documentation for Flow Assurance activities across all project phases, including Conceptual Studies, FEED, tendering, detailed engineering, and operations.
* Support Call for Tender processes and supplier selection activities, including technical evaluations, clarifications, and recommendations.
* Review and approve FEED, tender, and detailed engineering deliverables prepared by contractors.
* Provide technical support to interface disciplines such as Pipelines/Subsea, Process/Facilities, and Operations to ensure integrated engineering solutions.
* Support operations during start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities as required.
* Act as Project Discipline Lead (PDL) for Flow Assurance scope, including oversight of team deliverables.
* Collaborate closely with Subsea Systems and other engineering disciplines throughout project execution.
* Manage interfaces with Reservoir Engineering and Laboratory teams.
* Perform technical and administrative PDL duties on complex projects.
* Support preparation of manhour estimates for new proposals.
* Monitor and report changes in scope impacting project schedules and resource requirements.
* Ensure compliance with international standards, codes, and industry best practices.
