Joiner (Multi-Skilled)
About the Role
My client is looking for a skilled Joiner to join their Repairs Team. Youll carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance work in council homes and buildings, helping us deliver a high-quality service to our residents.
Youll work closely with team leaders and other trades to ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
What Youll Do
Carry out joinery repairs, maintenance, and upgrades
Complete work in both occupied and empty properties
Work across other trades when needed (multi-skilled role)
Ensure all work is completed on time and to a high standard
Communicate clearly with tenants and provide excellent customer service
Follow all health and safety guidelines
Keep accurate records using a PDA or device
Maintain tools, equipment, and your work vehicle
Support emergency/out-of-hours repairs when required
Work with other trades to complete jobs efficiently
What they areLooking For
Essential
NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds in Joinery (or equivalent)
Proven experience in carpentry and joinery
Ability to carry out a wide range of repairs independently
Good understanding of health & safety practices
Strong customer service skills
Full UK driving licence
Ability to use handheld devices (PDAs)
Desirable
Multi-skilled in other trades (e.g. tiling)
Experience in social housing or repairs services
Knowledge of building regulations
IT/computer skills
Experience working at heights
