Job Description: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a site administrator to join a busy site office within a production workshop. This well-established company has designed, manufactured and erected structures across the UK – commercial and industrial steel-framed buildings. This role has progression possibilities with the potential of moving up to be an assisting site manager, site manager, project manager or contract manager. Responsibilities of the site administrator: * All on-hires / off-hires of machines, cranes and small equipment as instructed by site managers. * Keep comprehensive record of all on hires, off hires and purchases to effectively check all invoices. * Deal with machine breakdowns – organise repairs from hire companies etc. * Monitor any machine/crane breakdown charges from the suppliers – challenge where necessary. * Finish off all RAMS and distribute to correct site managers. * Order all site bolts/HD Bolts/Phase bolts. * Order and distribute all PPE and Lifting gear. * Ensure all test certs & HS paperwork is in place before starting on site. * Maintain site training records – reapply for CSCS/CPCS cards as necessary. * Check off all invoices from above mentioned records. * Chase credits where required. * Arrange accommodation for erectors as necessary. * Organise all metsec deliveries; ensure people know when they will be going to site & that appropriate plant will be there to offload it. * Keep site planner up to date. * Look after general day to day things– guys, drawings, missing items, site requirements etc * Analyse the tracking system to complete the erectors weekly timesheets. * Site van vehicle maintenance – MOT’s, Servicing, Repairs, Tyres. * Work as part of a small team, providing cover where required. * Liaising with site teams (foremen & erectors) to ensure the smooth running of projects. Skills of a site administrator: · Strong IT skills, specifically Microsoft Office. · Experience in construction is essential for this role. · Experience in steel erecting would be ideal. · Ability and flexibility is essential for this role.
