Job Purpose: To work as an effective member of the nursery team to ensure the delivery of a quality early learning and childcare experience for children. To provide a leadership role within the setting for other early years staff to ensure the delivery of early level learning through the guidance of the Head Teacher. To ensure that parents are actively engaged in participating in their children’s learning journey.

Requirements
Those employed as Senior Early Years Practitioner should hold a recognised qualification in Childcare and Education, (for example HNC/NNEB/SVQ 3) and will be paid on grade HC0735.
3 years post qualifying experience of working with young children, preferably in an Early Learning and Childcare Setting or family support service.

This position is classified as a regulated role. As such, an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required depending on your nationality and recent residency history. Specifically, this check will be necessary if you do not meet both of the following criteria:
• You must be a national of the United Kingdom or one of the following countries: Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Hungary, Greece, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, or Poland.• You must not have lived or worked in any country outside of the UK or those listed above for a period of three months or more, while aged 18 years or over, within the past five years.
