About the Role Reporting into the technology leadership team, you will join a small, highly skilled platform engineering team responsible for building and scaling a modern cloud-based infrastructure that supports the entire organisation. The team values simplicity, automation, testing, and reliability, and is looking for individuals who combine technical excellence with commercial awareness and strong problem-solving ability. Responsibilities Contribute to the major build-out of functionality on a new enterprise platform Help design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure Participate in a shared BAU support rota (across technology and quantitative teams), providing exposure to diverse areas of the business Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, and risk teams Continuously improve platform reliability, security, and performance Tech Stack Infrastructure as Code: Terraform Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure Programming Languages: Python, Rust Databases: Postgres, ClickHouse Required Skills & Experience Strong analytical background (typically a degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field) Applied programming experience (Python, Rust, C++, or similar) Experience designing and developing cloud-based architectures Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Desirable • Networking expertise • AWS specific knowledge • Experience of a cloud migration project • Cloud security experience • A track record of contributions to an open source project
